


Like in the OS, if you want to index something, you have to declare the range of folders and subfolders being indexed. To remove those pesky files since the customer has no clue what those are for. When I compress the folder to send the notes I have to remember My customer files are permeated with the OneNote index. I store customer information in different folders of the same network drive. Do we have to have a separate server for OneNote since we are seeing the idiotic open notebook.

But to synchronize all other folders in parallel levels of hierarchy on the entire drive is ridiculous. That OneNote synchronizes withing that directory is perfectly understandable and desirable. I find this very frustrating and reflect this as a negative component in UX. With the ToC style, it treats the subfolders of the folder as if they were sections and mixes in with my other sections, making it confusing. Section groups that are dedicated to lectures, readings,Įxam tips, etc. I find this very confusing because I have sections and I don't need it to have a Table of Content to show the subfolders. I treat OneNote notebooks as if they were singular notebooks that contain notes and maybe images or PDFs I put in there. Some of us do not like the ToC setup in OneNote. That floods our drive with the said files. But we should be given the option to turn off the feature If Microsoft wants to be that pervasive by default, *dejectedly* fine. I feel this is a poor UX consideration with OneNote.Īs an OneNote user, I do not like it when OneNote invades my OneDrive with *.onenote files just because they feel like it.
